Praveen | Web Developer

Praveen is a web addict and technology enthusiast with over 6 years of experience in web development. He loves to be called a devigner (DEVeloper + desIGNER). Equally as excited by well-balanced typography as he is by well-written code, Praveen joined the UI team at Kuliza to develop intelligent interfaces and learn from a group of coding geeks.

He possesses the appropriate level of geekiness to compliment the Kuliza team nicely. Among his geek credentials are an excitement for new web technologies and a need to "look under the hood" of every website he visits.

Prior to this, Praveen worked as a production engineer for Apparatus, a Bangalore based brand communication and interactive design studio. He is passionate about hacking, UX design and semantic markup. His skills lie not at the extremes of graphic design or database/server administration, but in the middle where people actually interact with the application. His passion for computers and problem solving continues to grow to this day, leading him to a life of front-end development using PHP, (x)HTML, CSS, and Javascript, with jQuery as his choice of library. He finds himself lucky to be paid for doing the stuff he loves, which he would have otherwise done anyway.

When not working he is often playing table tennis or Age of Empires, or trying to convince other Kulizans to play AOE with him. His other hobbies include music (listening and playing), reading (blogs not books), solving puzzles and participating in hacking contests.
